I don’t like saying this, but the real reason for the Second Amendment is coming into focus for an increasing number of Americans.
No, it is not because people are watching the full-blown invasion going on at our southern border by millions and millions of military-aged males.
It’s our “President.”
This past Tuesday, only hours after his son Hunter was convicted on gun-related charges by a federal jury in Delaware, President Joe Biden took the stage at Everytown for Gun Safety’s annual boot camp, which they call “Gun Sense University.”
(Reminder: Everytown for Gun Safety is Michael Bloomberg’s paid-for advocacy group. They are not grassroots, it’s funded from the top down, and it’s staffed by professional agitators with an unlimited advocacy bankroll from their founder, Bloomberg.)
Joe Biden’s “speech,” if you can call it that, was a direct attack on the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
Here’s a couple things he said:
“It’s time, once again, to do what I did when I was a senator: BAN Assault Weapons! I mean it.”
“Who in God’s name needs a magazine that can hold 200 shells?”
“You’re allowed to have a gun, but I want to take away your ability to use an assault weapon.”
Who the hell does he think he is? He’s a decrepit old degenerate with a totally screwed up family, not a king who gets to rule by executive fiat.
“They’re weapons of war.”
As usual, he trotted out the Left’s talking point about how the 2nd Amendment is supposedly about hunting deer:
“Guess what, if you need 12 to 100 bullets in a gun, in a magazine, you’re the lousiest shot I’ve ever heard.”
But then, in a moment of lucidity (probably brought on by whatever cocktail they give him before these speeches), he verbalized the exact reason WHY we hold so tightly to the Right of self-defense:
“And by the way, if they want to think they, it’s to take on government if we get out of line, which they’re talking again about – well, guess what? They need F-15s. They don’t need a rifle.”
In other words, Joe Biden said that if the American government gets out of line (what we would call “tyrannical”) and the American people dissent, they are willing to use the military against the American people to quash that dissent and stay in power.
Now you can see precisely why the Missouri Firearms Coalition fights as hard as we do against ALL gun-control measures.
The Left is now admitting that they have every intention of staying in permanent power, and that they’ll use whatever force necessary to stay there.
That is precisely why we’ll keep our “weapons of war” that they’ve labeled “assault weapons.”
And by the way, Americans who are forced to act in self-defense against a government that is willing to turn the military on its own people won’t need F15s, either.
The United States alone just spent eight TRILLION dollars fighting a 20-year-long “war on terror,” and they still couldn’t dominate a bunch of goat ropers living in the caves of Afghanistan because our ‘leaders’ like Mark Milley were more concerned about diversity training than warfighting.
After talking with a bunch of vets that I know well, here are a few observations and takeaways that would may want to consider.
1. Buy guns and ammo.
If you are a Second Amendment supporter in theory or principle, or because you know how important individual firearms ownership is to being a free citizen and you just haven’t taken that next step yet, you are behind.
Please go buy several guns, with plenty of ammo for each.
If I were just starting, I’d buy a quality AR-platform rifle in 5.56 with a quality optic, sling and furniture, a 9mm Glock 19, a Remington 870 12-gauge pump shotgun and a Ruger 10/22 rifle with a scope on it.
I’d buy 5k rounds of ammo for the AR, 2.5k for the pistol, 1k for the shotgun, 5k for the Ruger 10/22 and plenty of magazines for all of them.
(Also, ignore the dumb fake news articles talking about how a “man was found with an arsenal of four guns and two thousand rounds of ammo.” Those are noob numbers. If you can swing it, buy a truckload of guns and a couple HUNDRED THOUSAND rounds of ammo so that you have plenty to go around if the time comes!)
2. Get training.
Training is everything. Guns and ammo are pretty worthless if you do not know how to use them properly in the environment you may be forced to use them in.
No, I’m not talking about bullseye shooting at your local shooting club.
Basic marksmanship courses are the critical first step, but then find a company that teaches combat shooting and survival tactics, preferably with group tactics.
That brings me to my next point…
3. Train with others (friends & family).
Lone rangers don’t last long.
A common theme among most “shtf” accounts is that survival on your own is nearly impossible, so assemble a core group of friends and train how to use your firearms together.
Even better, take a “small unit tactics” course together and then train a couple of times a year as a refresher. You will be miles ahead of everyone else if you are ever forced to use those skills.
(Note: You can read the fascinating and famous question-and-answer-style account of “selco” and surviving the social collapse of his city of 50,000 people during the Bosnian War HERE)
4. Start viewing yourself as a dissenter.
The Left wants you to believe that patriotism means that you don’t question the decisions of those “in charge” or in Washington DC.
But that’s dumb. Americans owe blind allegiance to no one other than God, certainly not the Democrat Party.
In fact, it is 100% patriotic to question the integrity of politicians, agencies, policies and bureaucrats and to measure them, their actions and their words against the standards we have in place for doing so, namely, the Constitution.
The Founding Fathers sure questioned the integrity of their own government (the British government) before they decided to start their own nation.
Our politicians are human, and no human in office today is “above” or so “enlightened” that they cannot or are not sucked in by the temptation of tyranny.
Some certainly are, and they seem to be getting bolder by the minute.
We take Joe Biden, his administration, the gun-control groups they’re working with and their pals in the fake news media at their word when they say how much they want to disarm America.
It is not like they have been hiding it.
They have been working steadily for decades to do just that by passing the National Firearms Act, the Gun Control Act of 1968, the “Assault Weapons Ban,” the “Bipartisan Safer Communities Act” and hundreds of similar attempts in state legislatures across America.
We will not ever give up the means (firearms) to maintain our free citizenship.
That is why the Missouri Firearms Coalition is doing everything we can to pass the laws we need in place NOW, while we still have the ability to do so.
