MOFC’s Second Amendment Preservation Act has passed the House 100-49, will be heard in the Senate Transportation Committee soon, and could be voted on in the full Missouri Senate very soon!
SAPA is how we prevent the next Democrat President from ordering Missouri cops to enforce federal gun control, and it’s how we ensure that Missouri cops can’t be put in these situations in the first place.
But gun control lobbyists are very close to convincing Republican and Democrat Senators to support amendments to SAPA that are designed to gut/kill this bill…under the guise of ‘public safety!’ Some of these amendments include:
>>> A removal of civil penalties, leaving us powerless to hold St. Louis or Kansas City accountable if they violate SAPA. This kills the bill.
>>> Allowing the feds to use Missouri cops for federal gun control if paid as part of an ATF taskforce. This kills the bill.
>>> Forcing gun owners to pay the government’s legal fees if we lose a SAPA lawsuit, discouraging us from fighting back. This effectively kills the bill.
>>> Eliminating our right to file civil suits in Cole County, forcing cases into liberal courts like St. Louis or Kansas City where we’d lose. This kills the bill.
>>> Creating massive carveouts that let liberal departments enforce federal gun laws under ‘reasonable suspicion’ for any ‘crime’ — including traffic offenses! This kills the bill.
