Iām proud to announce that the Missouri Firearms Coalitionās legislation to enhance Stand-Your-Ground law has been introduced in the House and Senate!
Once passed, this legislation will provide critical protections that gun owners desperately need here in Missouri.
First,Ā the bill gives us the presumption of immunity in the wake of an actual or threatened use of force. The impact of this is massive.
Second,Ā the bill creates the ability for us to assert our immunity in a pre-trial hearing instead of after weāre convicted in a sham trial.
Third,Ā the bill states that a gun owner canāt be arrested following a shooting unless there is probable cause we committed an actual crime.
Dozens of states have already put these protections in place to protect gun owners from liberal prosecutors like…but Missouri has not. This means weāre all vulnerable if we must defend ourselves.
