Despite the attacks launched by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Constitutional Carry passed through the Select Committee on General Laws yesterday in a very brief 6-2 vote, with two members of the committee absent.
All of them were talking about the number of calls and emails that they have been receiving from you regarding this legislation!
Thank you for working so hard to advance this legislation.
Constitutional Carry (HB 1468) is a very simple concept, if you’re legally allowed to own a firearm, you’re legally allowed to carry it for self-defense without having to pay fees, go through bureaucratic processes, or be added to a government database.
This is the same sort of law that passed in neighboring Kansas last year, West Virginia two weeks ago, and is poised to become law in Idaho as early as next week!
But with each step forward we make in advancing Constitutional Carry for Missouri — anti-gun organizations both here in Missouri and nationwide — are taking notice.
I fully expect a major attack from out-of-state billionaires like Michael Bloomberg and his front groups as this bill progresses.

The next step for HB 1468 is to be called to the House Floor for a vote by the entire House.
We need House Speaker Todd Richardson and Majority Floor Leader Mike Cierpiot to take the next step and put this bill on the Floor!
