Gun owners in Missouri have seen tremendous betrayal from the politicians in Jefferson City over the last couple of years.
Every two years at election time, it seems like everyone seeking to run for the Missouri legislature is a dyed-in-the-wool gun rights champion, who can’t wait to fight for us if they get to Jeff City.
But as gun owners have seen time and time again, once they get to the Capitol, most politicians choke under the pressure, forget their campaign promises, and begin lashing out at gun owners who want to see action.
Simply put: it’s not enough to have a legislative candidate tell you they are pro-gun at election time when they are desperate.
That’s why the Missouri Firearms Coalition has just rolled out our 2020 legislative candidate survey program, which will allow gun owners to see exactly where the candidates stand on all the pressing gun rights issues that are in play today.
If a candidate proudly supports the Second Amendment and wants to have gun owners in his district vote for him, then signing this survey should be no problem.
That’s why pro-gun champions like Senator Eric Burlison and Representative Jered Taylor proudly sign their candidate surveys every two years.
They are pro-gun to the core and never hide from that fact.
But a growing number of Republican legislators right here in Missouri are opposed to your gun rights, publicly attacking SAPA legislation and even talking about backing a ‘safe version’ of ‘Red Flag Gun Seizure’ legislation!
So knowing that they intend to betray your gun rights, the last thing many candidates want to do is sign a candidate survey, giving grassroots gun owners physical proof of their betrayal!
Frankly, in my twelve years of experience, every single time a candidate tells me that ‘I’m pro-gun, but I can’t sign this survey at this time,’ they have gone on to stab gun owners in the back.
Every. Single. Time.
That’s why the Missouri Firearms Coalition has just released our candidate survey for 2020!
But we need your help.
You see, legislative leaders in Jeff City are already encouraging their candidates to refuse to sign the MOFC survey, to make it harder for gun owners to hold them accountable if they stab us in the back.
And that’s why the Missouri Firearms Coalition is releasing our survey to the public — so that you can personally deliver these candidate surveys to the would-be politicians who are begging for your vote later on this year!
All you have to do is print off the survey and hand it to the candidates at a parade, a forum, or when they come and knock on your door. Of course, you can email it to them as well!

Missouri is at a crossroads.
If we continue to allow politicians to tell gun owners one thing just to get elected, only to have them stab us in the back once safely in office, we will see our gun rights continue to erode.
But if gun owners stand together and force the politicians in Jeff City to publicly stand up for the Second Amendment and to fight for pro-gun policy, we can secure these precious freedoms for the next generation.
Please help us do that, by making sure the candidates seeking your vote put their support for your gun rights in writing!
For Missouri,
Aaron Dorr
Political Director
Missouri Firearms Coalition
P.S. The Missouri Firearms Coalition candidate surveys have been sent to all of the candidates seeking to represent you in the upcoming 2021-2022 session of the General Assembly.
Gun owners are accustomed to candidates telling them how pro-gun they are at election time, only to betray them once safely in office.
Help us get all the candidates on the record! If they want your vote, make sure they put their support for the Second Amendment in writing by giving them the MOFC candidate survey!
