Missouri’s Speaker of the House, Rob Vescovo, has moved MOFC’s landmark self-defense legislation (HB-2118) onto the House Debate Calendar, meaning it’s ready for a full House vote!
Your pressure has powered this bill through the House Government Oversight Committee and the House Rules Committee, and has the attention of everyone in Jeff City.
And now that Speaker Vescovo has put the bill on the calendar, that means this bill can move over to the Senate after one more round of floor votes!
But for that to happen, House Floor Leader Dean Plocher, needs to officially schedule a time for this vote and put it on the floor. So please contact your State Representative TODAY!

And until we pass this legislation, our self-defense laws are full of holes that leftist prosecutors can use to attack gun owners like you and me.
MOFC’s legislation would address these problems by:
>>> Creating a presumption of innocence for gun owners who use (or threaten to use) deadly force in a self-defense situation. In other words, we clarify that the gun owner is presumed innocent, unless the state proves him guilty!
>>> Creating that same presumption of innocence for gun owners in civil court, too. The last thing we want is for a gun owner to be victimized by a criminal (or his estate) twice, once on the street and then again in civil court.
>>> Provides for a pre-trial hearing process that allows you to assert your immunity protections in criminal and civil court BEFORE you go through the court process!

Passing MOFC’s House Bill 2118 would fix the gaps in Missouri’s self-defense laws and get us closer in line to what dozens of states around us have already done!
But before we do anything else, this bill needs to move through the House and over to the Senate without any further delays. House RINOs like Plocher aren’t the only ones trying to kill this bill.
The NAACP, Everytown for Gun Safety, the Fraternal Order of Police, the Missouri Sheriff’s Association, the Missouri Prosecuting Attorneys Association…the list goes on…all of them are working against your right of self-defense!
These organizations have one goal: to preserve their power over gun owners here in Missouri. That’s why they’ve opposed every expansion of gun rights going back over the last decade!
And that’s why you must insist that House Majority Floor Leader Dean Plocher puts HB-2118 on the floor for a vote immediately.
