Our Political Director, Alexandra Salsman, is being told by many lawmakers in Jeff City that the House is trying to find a way to bury H.B. 1936!

I don’t know about you, but I think this is absolutely unacceptable.

The legislature works for you and me, and they have done nothing to advance gun rights in two years.

But despite their refusal to act, they are counting on gun owners to support them and fund their campaigns as they run for reelection later on this year.

That’s why they need to hear from you, the House leadership team in particular, right away.

After all, H.B. 1936 is our bill that would do away with the dozens of so-called ‘Gun Free Zones’ that blanket so many locations here in Missouri.

In these places — places like churches, daycares, polling stations, hospitals, schools, and more — you and I are forced to disarm and simply ‘hope for the best’ if confronted by an armed assailant.

I don’t know about you, but with virtually every mass shooting in the last ten years taking place in one of these ‘Gun Free Zones,’ that sounds simply outrageous!

That’s why I hope you’ll send our PRE-WRITTEN EMAIL to the House leadership team immediately, insisting that they put H.B. 1936 up for a vote right away!

Already we’ve been delayed significantly, having been made to pass our bill through both the House General Laws Committee in addition to the House Rules Committee.

But with both of those committees behind us, there is simply no excuse for delaying the floor vote on this bill any longer!

Michael Bloomberg and his allies would love nothing more than to see House leadership buckle under the weight of their pressure — only inspiring them to fight harder next session!

The best way to show Bloomberg and his cronies like Rep. Peter Meredith that Missouri will not cave into their radical agenda, is by passing pro-gun legislation like H.B. 1936.
