The bill now moves on to the General Laws Committee for further consideration.
More, we have been informed that this bill will be heard NEXT TUESDAY -– meaning that you only have a few days to contact the committee! More on that below.
It’s critical that you take action and make your voice heard, as NYC billionaire Michael Bloomberg’s people are very actively working to stop this bill.
In fact, at today’s committee hearing, the only pro-gun organization on hand to support HB630 was the Missouri Firearms Coalition and our Political Director, Alexandra Salsman, was outnumbered almost ten to one by Bloomberg activists!
Bloomberg is still bitter that gun owners like you gave him the boot last year as we enacted both Constitutional Carry and Stand-Your-Ground law.
That’s why they are working to continue Missouri’s current law of banning guns in dozens of public places — as a consolation prize for their stunning defeat last year.
And if we don’t act fast, they just may have it their way!
So won’t you please take a moment to contact the members of the General Laws committee right away by phone, email, or Facebook and urge them to advance House Bill 630 right away?

As a member of the House General Laws Committee, I urge you to move HB630 through the committee right away and with no weakening amendments.
HB630 would do away with the deadly ‘Gun Free Zones’ that are in effect in dozens of locations here in Missouri — places where I’m left defenseless in the event of an armed attack.
Countless examples in the last few years show that it’s so-called ‘Gun Free Zones’ like the ones we have here in Missouri that are the favorite targets of violent killers.
With the bill having passed the Second Amendment Sub-Committee and with time running out, I hope you’ll move this bill through the committee as soon as possible.
