With that Facebook post advocating the unthinkable, Democrat State Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal (D-University City) sent shockwaves not only through Missouri, but also nationwide.
This anti-gun State Senator who led the floor fight to stop Constitutional Carry, Stand-Your-Ground and Castle Doctrine to “stop gun violence” in Missouri is now advocating murdering the President of the United States?
The Governor, Lt. Governor, BOTH state parties and embattled anti-gun U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill have all insisted she resign.
Yet, despite all this, Senator Chappelle-Nadal doubled-down and has demanded that President Trump apologize!
Calls are growing for a Special Session of the Missouri State Legislature to remove Senator Chappelle-Nadal from office.
But many in the statewide media are rushing to her defense, cheering on the poisoning of our political system and barely hiding their sheer HATRED for our President.
Sadly, this battle isn’t only about State Senator Chappele-Nadal.
It isn’t only about how toxic the media, gun-grabbers and destructive left-wing “Antifa” thugs are making our political system.
It’s about taking a stand against the outrageous double-standard Second Amendment supporters and supporters of the Constitution have been forced to live under for DECADES now.
You know how it goes . . .
A pro-gun ally with a long record of standing up for our Constitutional freedoms makes a slip of the tongue or ill-advised joke that’s taken out of context, and the media and BOTH parties break out their pitchforks.
Apologies and explanations come, but they’re met with nothing but outright DEMONIZATION by sanctimonious hustlers.
The individual gets his past and personal life laid bare for all to see. Family members are put through embarrassing scrutiny.
All the good the person has ever done is ignored as the media and political elites seek to utterly DESTROY him.
Yet, State Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal can cheer on ASSASSINATING THE PRESIDENT, and the media says a simple, “I’m sorry,” and the loss of a few Senate Committee assignments is good enough?
I’ve been in politics long enough to know that hoping our statewide media will play fair is a fool’s game.
But if we allow the statewide media and the gun-grabbers to continually frighten members of the Missouri State Legislature into playing by their politically correct rules, how long until they turn the tables on us?
How long until they break out the pitchforks and take to the streets demanding that anyone who opposed them be disarmed?
Already this year, “Antifa” thugs have beaten supporters of the President, destroyed police cars, thrown Molotov cocktails through store windows, detonated explosives, and set university buildings on fire.
And the media gives them a pass!
Site, we can’t let this stand. If we’re to keep any semblance of peace in this country, the media’s double-standard must be DESTROYED.
So if Senator Maria Chapelle-Nadal won’t resign, she must be expelled. NOW.
