We’re down to the final days of the 2017 legislative session here in Jefferson City, with an adjournment expected this Friday.
That means that time is running out for you and I to pass HB630, legislation to repeal the deadly “Gun Free Zones” that blanket almost two dozen locations here in Missouri.
With your help, we cleared the Second Amendment Sub-Committee, the House General Laws Committee, and the House Rules Committee.
We’ve offered committee testimony.
We’ve dropped off thousands of your signed petitions.
We’ve combatted and countered the lies being spun by Michael Bloomberg’s front-groups.
The ball is now in the House Leadership Team’s court. The decision to advance or kill this important legislation lies with them.
That’s why I hope you will contact them right away.
As a reminder, HB630 would do away with the “Gun Free Zones” that leave you and I defenseless in dozens of places where you and I spend time with our families.
This includes places like churches, hospitals, sporting events, daycares, mass transportation systems, and so many more.
And as the news out of St. Louis and Springfield show us all too often, it’s exactly these types of places where violent criminals attack law abiding citizens -– as they know that you and I are unarmed in these places!
Clearly, gun free zones only benefit criminals, and that has to stop.
So please take a moment to immediately contact the Speaker, Majority Floor Leader, and Speaker Pro-Tem of the Missouri House right away!
Tell them that we want a vote on HB630 before adjournment, so we can see who’s on our side and who just says they are!
