Moments ago, the Senate Transportation Committee voted to advance MOFC’s SAPA legislation!
The bill will now be eligible for floor debate at any time.
I was proud to testify in support of this legislation on behalf of MOFC members just last week, along with our bill sponsor, Senator Rick Brattin.
Senate Bill – 23 would effectively reinstate Missouri’s SAPA law, while trimming out sections that the Eighth Circuit did not approve of.
It still stops the feds from using Missouri cops to enforce federal gun control.
It still contains civil penalties that give you and I a private cause of action if a department violates SAPA law.
And it still prevents Missouri cops from being used in a federal task force to enforce federal gun laws.
As you can see, this is exactly what we need here in Missouri before the next Democrat gets in the White House!
Please do me a favor and email your state Senator and ask him/her to vote yes on Senate Bill – 23 when it comes to the floor!

On top of all this, MOFC’s legislation to put penalties in our state’s preemption law will be heard in committee on Monday! More details to come.
