💥💥 BOOM! SAPA Passes Key House Vote 101-49!

KA-BOOOOOM!

Yesterday, after close to 90 minutes of active debate, the Missouri House of Representatives passed the Second Amendment Preservation Act (HB-1175) by a vote of 101-49!

(The bill will receive one final vote in the House tomorrow before it heads to the Senate, but that is mostly a formality.)

Just as good, we defeated ALL Democrat filed amendments to this bill meaning that tomorrow we’ll have passed the purest form of SAPA we possibly can out of the House!

MOFC wants to give a huge shoutout to each and every one of you that sent emails/texts or called your State Representative. Your grassroots pressure was being felt, I assure you.

We also need to acknowledge Rep. Bill Hardwick, the sponsor and floor manager of SAPA. Bill gave one of the best defenses for this bill that I’ve ever seen yesterday! You should watch it.

I personally want to thank former State Rep. Jered Taylor, as well. Jered carried SAPA four years ago. Now termed out, Jered has been instrumental in crafting this revised language.

The Democrats trotted out all the standard drivel about how badly Missouri needs gun control, they were shut down hard.

(Rep. Bill Hardwick (L), MOFC’s Aaron Dorr (center), former Rep. Jered Taylor (R) all smile moments after the vote yesterday!)

We are not out of the woods yet, not even close.

The Senate is being bombarded with amendments from law enforcement, from the Prosecuting Attorneys Association, and from some bitter activists who just don’t like the bill.

We’ll have action links to enable you to reach out to your Senator very soon.

Before I close, I want to tell you one common theme we heard in Jeff City all day yesterday: “SAPA is moving is moving because people don’t want a nasty MOFC video running in their district.”

MOFC is powerful, because we have tools to fight with and we know how to use them.

But it’s not free to get 100,000 views on a video. It’s not free to text 5,000 gun owners in a House District. It’s not free to have guys prowling the halls of Jeff City all year.

MOFC needs support, actual dollars, in hand to make sure we can finish this fight. We need to scale up on the Senate side.

We’re trying to raise $10,000 in the next 10 days. If you enjoy the freedom that MOFC is securing, please make an immediate donation today.
